I've been following GUBBINS since Freeplay Parallels in 2022 From the very beginning I was hooked by its immaculate aesthetic, playful energy, and warm comfy breakfast-jazz soundtrack. I'm happy to report the game was everything I had hoped for. Note: The free version allows for only 1 play per day of the classic mode, which feels like too few; but, I'd also say GUBBINS is well worth the price of admission.

I'm not into word games, but this is great, I'm adding this to my routine. I do have some feedback though: It's not entirely obvious as to why my game just ends and all I can do is 'continue', is there a timer or is it just impossible to make another word? It wasn't entirely obvious how to rotate a block, at first I tried holding the block with one finger then sliding down with my other, or using the common pinch rotation found in other apps, but I figured it out. Shout out to Hank Green!

I really love this game but it's frustrating you're limited 1 play every 12 hours. It's hard to begin to enjoy the game when you only get a single play. In order to continue to play, you have to pay 5 USD. I understand needing funding to continue the development of this game but why not occasional ads? It is really well animated. Nice sounds. Cute art. Satisfying taptic feedback.

a very fun little word game! I paid for the infinite play (which I feel is very justified, it feels similar to nyt charging for more access on their app, and I would MUCH rather have limited access that a stupid number of ads) (the devs gotta make their dollar too, yall) anyways. the only reason I'm giving 4 stars is a few bugs. the postcard stickers will sometimes glitch. also it can be very difficult to rotate the larger letter units, if they didn't place automatically that would be GREAT💖💖

While the game is free, I immediately knew I was going to give it money. And boy was it worth it. I've been wanting an actually good word game, and gosh dang it, Gubbins is it! A wonderful style, a very unique challenge system with all 25 gubbins adding good or bad effects to your game, and with infinite play, I can see a very plausible addiction. This game oozes love and style, and I was able to spell Kerfuffle and get so many points, just trust me, this game is awesome!

The game itself, great! Cute, fun, engaging. But I can't give 5 stars.. I've been SO excited waiting for this game to release only to be hugely disappointed at the cap of one free game daily. It was barely enough to get a feel for the game. And not everyone can justify spending $5 or more just for "infinite play". I wouldnt mind a limit on how many free games daily if there were more, like 3-5. Especially with 3 different games modes.. you can only choose one a day. Very disappointing

Very fun! I love the kookiness and endearing nature of the art, it makes it a much more enjoyable word game than any others I've tried. Only bug I've encountered is when I finish a game and receive a new postcard background or some other reward, it doesn't load properly and the 'continue' button doesn't work, I just have to reset the app and when it loads up again I can successfully recieve my reward. Honestly not the end of the world but thought I should mention for the Devs.

Very good game! I'm a sucker for a good word game, and this one got me. Warning: it is only one free game per day unless you upgrade for about 6 dollars. Biggest complaint is the dictionary. Words like "pixelate" or "riced" don't count and when you see this happen multiple times per game, it gets very frustrating very quickly. There is also no way to check if a word will work before you place the letters, and by that point, you're screwed. Makes it feel more luck-based than strategic.

While I really do love this game, the mere fact that I payed $9 for unlimited play and went back in 3 hours after payment to play again only to be met with a 5 hour wait is very frustrating. Hopefully this and a few bugs are just the usual teething problems that games have when they first get released and looking forward to them getting fixed as the game is wonderful and I can see me playing a good amount of hours with it.

This is fun. The dictionary isn't great though, there are a lot of things it thinks are words that aren't, and words that are definitely words but that it won't accept. Also, today it told me that I'd done the game for today when I hadn't (the results card my friend sent me from the daily had a lot of Zs, which I think I would have remembered). If they improved stuff like the dictionary and bug fixes, this would be a 5/5—the concept and game mechanic itself is solid.

Im here because Hank sent me to check it out. Great game. A fun and quirky word game that is a bit different then most. Someone called it chaotic Scrabble, which I think sums it up. I paid for the infinite game mode. I'll skip a coffee and muffin this week (seriously it's not that much, no ads, and extra background and stickers and such, I went with the least expensive as I really only wanted infinite play. I think it was $8 Canadian. I wasn't really paying much attention, it was under $10)
